Funny Riddles

These sit on the line between a riddle and a joke. The answer is usually a pun, and the reaction you are aiming for is a groan rather than a gasp — if you did not roll your eyes at least once, we have not done our job.

They are still real riddles: the wordplay is fair, the answer is always derivable, and nothing depends on having heard the joke before. A few of the harder ones hide a genuine lateral puzzle behind the daft surface.

Best deployed at a dinner table, in a lunchbox note, or on anyone who says they hate puns.
